Types of data we collect
We will only collect for lawful or legitimate reasons. We will collect personal e mail and contact information together with your CV and any other relevant background information that is essential to your recruitment requirements. We use that information to inform you about relevant job opportunities and to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to discuss job opportunities, arrange interviews and secure roles. We work alongside other recruiters and share our client job lists with them, likewise they with us. This increases our selection of jobs enabling us to give our candidates a wider selection of jobs. If we believe a job with another recruiter matches your requirements we will always ask for your consent to share your CV and details with them. In order to apply for a suitable job, we will need to share your CV with our client. We will only do so with your consent. When we share a CV with a client, we remove all personal data, telephone, email, address and DOB. However, these details are required by our client once a job offer has been made together with proof of your right to work in the UK by way of National Insurance number, passport or similar documents. In accordance with the law we are required to share these details with our client. Copies of these will be digitally stored securely for the duration of your employment or for 5 years whichever We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
We use Rackspace to manage our e mails on a secure server We access these e mails via password protected laptops and smart phones. We use Dropbox to store your CV and right to work information securely. Should we need to print a hard copy of your CV for transportation reasons, we will store these securely in a locked cabinet. We will destroy any hard copy CV’s by shredding them within 1 year. Digitally stored CV’s will be deleted after 3 years if we have not had any communication with you.
In the event of a data breach. We will ensure that the breach is as contained as possible, assess the risk to data subjects as soon as possible, gather and collate the information from all relevant sources. We will consider relevant data protection impact assessments and notify supervisory authorities, data controllers, data subjects of the breach in accordance with this policy.
Access to your personal information
Under GDPR you, the data subject, have the right to access and amend any of your personal data that we hold. E mail any request of this nature to Judith@sgsearchandselect.com. Any requests will be dealt with within 30 days.
Changes to this Privacy Notice
This policy was created in May 2018 and will be reviewed annually.
